Ms. Galaviz earned her law degree, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in 2010. During law school, Ms. Galaviz served as a judicial extern for Associate Chief Justice Charles W. Johnson at the Washington State Supreme Court. In 2009, Ms. Galaviz served as a summer associate at Patterson Buchanan. In 2008, Ms. Galaviz served as a law clerk in the Seattle legal department of the Safeco P&C Insurance Companies, assisting in an insurance defense litigation practice with an emphasis on tort, construction defect, and professional malpractice. Moreover, as a law student, Ms. Galaviz was recognized for achievement in the studies of Civil Procedure and Advanced Electronic Legal Research and Methodology. Ms. Galaviz was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for achieving the highest grades in those courses. Ms. Galaviz did her undergraduate work at the University of California, Los Angeles, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
