Practice Area
Mr. Kitson defends private clients and public entities, focusing on school law and general public entity defense. He has worked on a wide variety of cases, including negligence, wrongful death, wrongful termination, employment discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and civil rights violations. He has extensive experience in class action litigation and appeals. His practice has included litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as appeals before the Washington Court of Appeals, Washington Supreme Court, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, Mr. Kitson regularly prepares presentations and presents to school districts regarding potential liability related to boundary invasion, bullying, cyberbullying, and sexting.
Before joining Patterson Buchanan as an associate attorney, Mr. Kitson worked at Patterson Buchanan as a summer associate. During law school Mr. Kitson externed for Washington Supreme Court Justice Debra Stephens.
