Focus on civil defense matters for private and public entities, specifically school districts.
Before joining Patterson Buchanan, Ms. D’Surney worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in New York and the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office in Memphis, TN. She successfully litigated numerous 4th Amendment issues and jury trials in both Tennessee and New York state courts.
During law school, Ms. D’Surney externed with at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in Indianapolis. She also participated in the pro bono Protective Order Project.
