Practice Area

Ms. Augdahl’s practice focuses on public entity defense, with an emphasis on school law.

Prior to joining Patterson Buchanan, Ms. Augdahl worked as a neutral staff attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR), where she investigated and resolved complaints of discrimination against education institutions and public entities. Ms. Augdahl also previously worked at Washington State University and the University of Nevada, Reno, where she investigated complex discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct complaints. In previous roles, she also routinely provided training and technical assistance on various civil rights issues, worked closely with administrators to coordinate university responses to a variety of issues arising in the post-secondary education context, and assisted in drafting and the implementation of university policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

While in law school, Ms. Augdahl externed as a law clerk in the criminal and juvenile divisions of the Maricopa Superior Court and with a law firm focused on workers’ compensation claims.
